this product is easy to use and is compatable with most digital camcorders. the sound and picture quality are exceptional.
i own a dcr trv240e by sony and i found it was extremely easy to load into the camera.
the tapes fit easily into your pocket with little bulge which make them efficient and functional.

All I Wanted and More |

On recieving the sony trv250 i was so excited as this was my first camcorder. I had used camcorders before and knew about the different feautures that you could get but this was the first camcorder i had ever owned. The main reason i wanted this specific model was because of the features and extras that this model included, but another reason i wanted this camcorder was becuase i have always been impressed with sony products, offering both value for money, and impressive performance.
The list of feautures includes sonys nightshot and steadyshot, and some of the basic features that are standard on digital camcorders. I was very excited about having nightvision and had already planned all sorts of short horror clips i would be able to make with my friends.
I knew that i was going to be using digital editing so i ordered a DV kit including a firewire card and a cable. This was very uselful becuase i wanted to make full use of thr camera which included using its DV in/out to edit and store my footage.
The sound and video quality is very impressive and no differences can be seen between digital 8 and DV tapes.
A big benefit with digital 8 is the affordability, the tapes to fit this model are just hi-8 apes.
The zoom is very good on this model becuase it has variable speed which means you control how fast it zooms. The steady shot is useful and not at all jerky like other models steady motion feautres. This is becuase the sony system uses lenses to direct the light steadily instead of zooming in and cutting corners to make it steady like other manufacturers systems.
All the controls were very easily accessible whilst recording and once id used it a couple of times i knew where everything was and didnt need to take my eye off the viewfinder to see what button to press.
The LCD screen is a good size and quality but uses battery up fairly quickly but this is to be expected.
The bundle i recieved contained a carry case aswell which is pretty good, it does everything u want it to do but nothing more.
Overall this product is fantastic value, quality and build quality. It is easy to use but can also be used proffesionally for making advanced films by editing them.
I highly recomend this camera to anyone on a budget who would like to get into digital video.
